Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Eden app ("Eden", "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Eden is operated by Josh Brown, an individual developer.

2. Use of the App

You may use Eden for personal, non-commercial habit tracking purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' accounts.
  • Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide a valid email address when registering. You may not share your account with others.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Eden may offer in-app subscriptions or one-time purchases processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's terms of sale.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding in Eden — including the name, logo, and visual design — are owned by Josh Brown and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of Eden without written permission.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the habit data and content you create in Eden. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership over your personal habit data.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App, which will permanently remove your data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Eden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Use the App at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Josh Brown shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Eden, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
